athenahealth Bifurcates Chief Financial and Chief Administrative functions; Appoints New CFO Karl Stubelis

As athenahealth bifurcates the Chief Financial and Chief Administrative functions. Kristi A. Matus, EVP and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) of the company, announced her intention to step down, to pursue new challenges. The company appointed Karl Stubelis, to serve as the company's SVP and CFO. Stubelis has served as the company's VP and Corporate Controller, Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, interim CFO. Prior to joining the company, he served as VP, corporate controller, and chief accounting officer at Sapient Corporation.

Alibaba Health IT Sees Company Secretary Replacement    

The board of directors of Alibaba Health Information Technology announced that Kin Fai has tendered his resignation as the company secretary of the company. The Board also announced that Ms. Lew Aishan Nicole has been appointed as the Company Secretary, one of the Authorized Representatives and one of the Process Agents.

Press Ganey Appoints New Partner for its Strategic Consulting Division     

Press Ganey Holdings, the provider of patient experience measurement, performance analytics and strategic advisory solutions for health care organizations, announced that Charles Hagood has joined its Strategic Consulting Division as partner. Hagood served in several leadership roles prior to joining Press Ganey. Most recently, he was an affiliate of Clayton Advisors. He is also the founding principal of hG4 Solutions.

NNIT Announces Management Changes      

NNIT announced the appointment of Mette Steffensen as SVP and new Head of IT Solutions Services. Mette Steffensen is an NNIT veteran, having been with the company for the past 10 years. Prior to that Mette spent 7 years with Accenture and hence brings valuable experience to her new role. Most recently, Mette has been responsible for NNIT's Application Outsourcing business and before that for the company's Management Consulting area. Mette Steffensen replaces Soren Luplau-Pagh, who has decided to leave NNIT.

Imprivata Appoints CIO and VP of Government Relations   

Provider of secure access and collaboration solutions for healthcare, Imprivata, appointed Aaron Miri to CIO and VP of Government Relations. Miri has a wealth of experience leading IT organizations supporting innovation in healthcare, most recently as CIO of Walnut Hill Medical Center.

Thomas Brigiotta resigned from his position as SVP, Worldwide Sales of Imprivata. Brigiotta has agreed to continue in his role until August 5, 2016.

Vocera Communications Witnesses Board Member Replacement    

Vocera Communications, that provides mobile communication solutions for hospital staff and mobile workers across diverse enterprise organizations, announced that Mike Burkland, president and CEO of Five9, will join Vocera’s board of directors. Burkland joined Five9 as president and CEO in January 2008.

Burkland will take the place of departing board member Hany M. Nada, who joined the Vocera board in May 2003. It was previously announced that Nada, who has served on the board for more than 13 years, is retiring from his board role on June 1, 2016.

C4X Discovery Holdings Appoints Executive Chair as CEOClive Dix

C4X Discovery Holdings (C4XD) appointed Clive Dix as CEO. Clive joined C4XD as Non-Executive Chairman in October 2014 and became Executive Chairman in November 2015. Most recently, Dr. Dix was CEO of Convergence Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, Dr. Dix enjoyed successful exits with PowderMed, Auralis Limited and PowderJect Pharmaceuticals, where he held the roles of CEO, Chairman and Head of R&D, respectively.

Sam Williams, Non-Executive Director, will become Interim Chairman whilst a search for a new Chairman is undertaken.

Connecture Announces Board and Senior Management Changes      

Connecture, the company that provides web-based sales, service, and process automation solutions to the health insurance industry, finalized the previously announced $52 million investment led by Francisco Partners. In connection with the investment, Ezra Perlman, Co-President of Francisco Partners, has also joined Connecture’s Board of Directors.

Connecture announced the elimination of the EVP of Sales & Marketing role, held by William A. Spehr, who will cease serving in that capacity. Spehr’s responsibilities and duties will be transitioned in an orderly fashion to current company Sales and Marketing leadership teams.

Connecture announced the addition of Stephanie Meyer as Chief Marketing Officer and Peter Urbain as SVP of Provider Solutions. Previously, Meyer was at GE Healthcare, where she served as head of marketing operations. Meyer also serves on the customer board for Marketo.

Prior to joining Connecture, Urbain held multiple senior management roles focused on the healthcare industry at IBM, Merge Healthcare, and Healthgrades where he set strategic direction, managed domestic and global teams, and launched and expanded new markets.

Connecture purchsed ConnectedHealth. As part of the transaction, key ConnectedHealth executives John Fiacco and Joe Donlan will join the Connecture management team. Fiacco will join Connecture's corporate strategy team as SVP of Corporate and Business Development. Donlan will join Connecture as SVP and Broker Solutions Leader.

MedAdvisor Joint Company Secretary Resigns

Australia based healthcare industry software developer MedAdvisor Limited announced the resignation of Stephen Brockhurst from the position of joint company secretary. Carlo Campiciano, who has jointly held the role since December 2015, will continue as MedAdvisor's sole company secretary. Campiciano is a highly experienced accountant, having spent significant time working in industry as a CFO, as well as 27 years in consulting to businesses.

Emerald Medical Applications Appoints Board Member       

Digital health startup Emerald Medical Applications Corp. appointed Professor Benad Goldwasser, an MD and a resident of the State of Israel, to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Perry Robins has joined the company's Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Robins is Professor Emeritus of Dermatology and was Chief of the Mohs Micrographic Surgery Unit at New York University Medical Center for over forty years.

DATATRAK International Announces Management Changes

Interim CEO and DATATRAK founder Jim Bob Ward has been named CEO and President of unified clinical trial software solutions firm DATATRAK International. The new management team of Julia Henderson (CFO), Tim Lyons (VP Operations) and Scott DeMell (VP Sales) are finalizing a company-wide review of product offerings, pricing, and contracting to formulate DATATRAK's long-run strategic plan.

Feedback Announces Chairman Changes      

Feedback plc announced the appointment of Dr. Alastair Riddell, 67, as Non-Executive Chairman. Dr. Riddell succeeds Tom Charlton, who becomes Deputy Chairman and who will step down from the board at the conclusion of the AGM which is likely to be held in November 2016. Dr. Riddell has over 30 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, life science and biotech industries. He is currently on the Board of three biotechnology companies; AzurRx Biotherapeutics, Cristal Therapeutics and Skyline Vet Pharma. He is also Chairman of the SWAHSN (South West Academic Health Science Network).

IMS Health and Quintiles Transnational Announce Merger Agreement and Executive Changes     

IMS Health Holdings entered into an agreement and plan of merger with Quintiles Transnational Holdings. Pursuant to the merger agreement, the board will be composed of twelve directors of which six shall be designated by IMS Health and six by Quintiles. Ari Bousbib, Chairman and CEO of IMS Health, will be appointed as Chairman and CEO of the Surviving Company, Thomas Pike, CEO of Quintiles, will be appointed as Vice Chairman and Dr. Gillings will be appointed as Lead Director.

WebMD Health Services Appoints Sanofi Exec as Chief Medical Officer    Michael Sokol, MD, M.S. 

WebMD Health Services named Michael Sokol, MD, M.S. as chief medical officer. A seasoned physician leader, Dr. Sokol will oversee an advisory panel of leading researchers and clinicians focused on driving continued innovation and wellness solutions for customers' employees and health plan participants. Prior to joining WebMD Health Services, Dr. Sokol was VP, employee wellness and chief wellness officer at Sanofi.

athenahealth Exec Joins Carecloud as VP of Client Success  

CareCloud named Chris Cousins to VP of Client Success. With more than 20 years of experience in key leadership roles at growing healthcare companies, Cousins will direct Client Success strategy at CareCloud and serve as a client advocate on the executive team. Prior to joining CareCloud, Cousins served as VP of Client Development at athenahealth.
